Description
These small parts inserts are designed to fit into Dewalt ToughCase boxes and Craftsman accessory boxes.
I’ve created three ZIP Files you can download depending on the type of ToughCase/Craftsman case you have.
If you have a Small ToughCase, download the Small ToughCase.zip file.
If you have a medium Toughcase with only one level of dovetails, download the Medium ToughCase.zip file.
If you have a Medium ToughCase with a tray, a TSTAK tray, or a Milwaukee Tray, download Tray.zip.
The model is capable of creating trays for the Large Versastack case (and large Dewalt ToughCase) but they aren’t very useful because there’s a very limited number of places you can put them. I’ve only included one version of the holder in the files section. If you want to try customizing one for yourself, you can download the .scad file and run Customizer in openSCAD, see here for instructions.
Most of the STLs have two versions: with dovetails and without dovetails. Use the Dovetails if you want the holders to stay in the ToughCase. if you want to be able to easily remove the holders, don’t use dovetails. If you want to be able to remove some trays but they are sliding around on you, you can bookend the non-dovetail holders with dovetailed holders.
I also wouldn’t use dovetails for anything larger than a bin that spans more than 4 dovetails in the case. the dovetail distance seems to be off by a slight amount and that adds up to them not aligning well.
