Unistrut End Caps

Unistrut End Caps On

Description

A while ago I was searching for Unistrut (Superstrut, Strut Channel, etc) end caps that would look good in a finished area, but I didn’t find any, so I had to design them. Fast forward a year and a half and I’m finally getting around to releasing them.

I’ve created end caps for P4100T (1-5/8″ x 13/16″, 14 Gauge) and P1000 (P1000 – 1-5/8″ x 1-5/8″, 12 Gauge) Unistrut, but you can use the model to create end caps for any size Unistrut.

Also with the model, you can also add or remove the mounting hole, change the hole size and type, or change length of the end and it’s slope.

Files

Printer: Prusa i3 MK3
Slicer: PrusaSlicer
Material: Inland PET-G
Resolution: 0.3 mm with a 0.4mm nozzle
Wall Lines/Perimeters: 3
Infill: Minimum 20% Gyroid. The higher infill percentage the stronger the part.
Notes: Supports are needed because the legs that fit into the Unistrut are raised off the bed.

Instructions

Pinching Unistrut with Channel Locks

Sometimes the edge of the Unistrut are splayed out and the caps won’t fit properly. You can bring the sides back into line by squeezing them with a channel lock or other big pliers.
